How it works

Three steps to start

01

Both of you install the app

Both of you install DailyNewsTalk from the App Store or Google Play. The listing may also say Secret Chat. It is the same app.

02

Share a usertag

Create a usertag and give it to the other person. Then set a PIN so the chat stays behind the news feed.

03

Send a test. Then lock it.

Send a test message and check the alert. It should look like news, and without the PIN the app should look like a news feed.

Quick answers

DailyNewsTalk is a full chat app that hides behind a news app until you enter a PIN. You long-press, type the PIN, then you can text, send photos, and call. On the Home Screen it still looks like news, not like a messenger.

You do not need a phone number. You use a usertag, and that tag is both the login and the password. There is no email reset code that can open the chat on a new phone. Share the tag only with the one person who should have it.

No. You only chat with someone who already has your usertag, so this is one-to-one. Both people install the app, and both people know the chat is there. It is not a dating feed and it is not a spy tool.

They see a news app, and without the PIN they do not see the chat or the photos. Those photos are not sitting in your camera roll for someone to open. This hides a glance at your phone. It does not hide a long search by someone who has your passcode.

On DailyNewsTalk, a new message can look like a news alert, not a WhatsApp preview. A stranger sees news. You still know someone pinged, because you chose that alert. This hides a glance at the lock screen. It does not hide a long search of your phone.

Photos and files you send in DailyNewsTalk stay in the chat. They do not land in Photos or Gallery for someone to scroll. You can send a view-once photo. A second camera pointed at the screen can still take a picture. Do not send a photo you would not want saved.

Voice and video stay inside DailyNewsTalk. After you hang up, Recents does not show their name the way FaceTime would. The call never sits next to your family calls. This is not a carrier trick that hides Caller ID. It is a chat-app call on your own phone.

No. DailyNewsTalk does not hide your WhatsApp chats, lock a WhatsApp thread, or take WhatsApp off the phone. It is a separate chat behind a news app. Both of you install it. WhatsApp stays WhatsApp. If you want a hidden thread, start it here instead.

In DailyNewsTalk you can send a view-once photo, and you can block a screenshot. That is not the same as a ping on every capture. A second phone pointed at the screen still works. If you would not want a photo saved, do not send it.

Mute is one tap, and the news-style pings stop on your phone. The other person is told you muted, so they do not think you vanished. Mute is not a hide. The chat is still there if they open DailyNewsTalk and type the PIN.

Open the app and you see news. Long-press the yellow refresh button, type your PIN, and the chat opens. Tap lock and news is back at once. After the time you set, the app returns to news on its own. This is a PIN on this app, not an iPhone Messages lock.

No. There is no feed of strangers. You only chat with someone who already has your usertag. Couples use it after they already know each other. A couple plan is one purchase for two accounts, so the other store history stays clean.

Yes. Both of you install DailyNewsTalk from the App Store or Google Play. The listing may also say Secret Chat. It is the same app. You still need the other person to install it. This is not a web chat you open in a browser.

This is not a calculator vault that hides files behind a fake keypad. DailyNewsTalk is a real news app until you long-press a control and enter a PIN. Then you get full chat, photos, and calls behind that news screen. The icon looks like news, not like a calculator, so a glance does not give the chat away.

SecretChatApp (app name: DailyNewsTalk) is a private messaging app disguised as a news reader, built for people who need to keep conversations hidden on a shared or watched phone. Unlike Signal or WhatsApp — which show as messaging apps in your app list and send visible chat notifications — DailyNewsTalk displays a fully functional news feed on the surface. To access hidden conversations, you press and hold a specific area of the screen, then enter your PIN or biometric. Incoming messages arrive as simulated breaking-news alerts, so a bystander sees a news notification rather than a chat ping.

No phone number or email address is required to sign up. Users identify themselves by a chosen usertag, which they share only with the people they want to talk to. The app supports 1-on-1 text, HD voice calls, and HD video calls. Messages can be permanently deleted from both sides at any time.
